COVENTRY RECESS EXTRAVAGANZA

Last school year School Board Member Ms. Donna Korn approached Tamarac Elementary PTA about the Coventry Play for Better Health Day Grant. As we are a land locked school and have very limited play areas for our students Tamarac Elementary PTA took this opportunity to apply for this grant in hopes to add more play areas for our students. In April 2012 we were given the great news that Tamarac Elementary School was awarded the 2012 Play for Better Health Day Grant. With the help of the school board project team, Mrs. Ray and Coach Boegler we were able to come up with several areas of the school to turn into new play areas for all of our students to use. We were able to obtain enough funding to paint play court areas in 4 sections of the school, install a couple tetherball courts and recess equipment for each classroom. We are pleased to announce this event will be completed and ready for our Recess Extravaganza on Friday December 14, 2012 during each students specials time. Coventry will be hosting a small ceremony from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
