Fall Fundraiser ends Tuesday, September 20th.  Please send in all orders and money by this date. Thank you for your support!
Fall Photos Tuesday, September 20th for Place-2nd Grade, September 21st for 3rd Grade-5th Grade.  Please make sure students have money at the time of pictures if you wish to purchase a photo package.
Dairy Queen Family Night Thursday, September 22nd. 5-8 pm  Teachers will be serving ice cream for the evening

Open House for Grade 3-5 Wednesday 9/14 6-7pm

Attention Third through Fifth Grade Parents:

Come on out Wednesday to meet your child's teacher and see what they do everyday!  Please report to student's classroom as quickly as possible.  You will not want to miss several special announcements!

PTA will also be in the cafeteria accepting PTA Memberships and Uniform Orders.  Uniforms will NOT be filled this evening, they will be delivered to the child's classroom!

Omega Man 9/16 -

Volunteer Orientation 9/9 at 9:15 am


A Volunteer Orientation will be held in the cafeteria on September 9th at 9:15 am.  This is mandatory if you wish to volunteer in the school or chaperone field trips.  You will also need to complete a Volunteer Application which includes a background check at http://www.getinvolvedineducation.com/

PTA Voicemail and Fundraising Updates

We know that some of you have left messages on the PTA voicemail and are getting frustrated because you have not received a returned call.  We do not have access to the voicemail but have requested a password so we can retrieve messages.Until this situation has been resolved, we ask that you e-mail your messages to tamaracelementarypta@hotmail.com or send a note in with your child.  We will let you know when the voicemail issue has been resolved.

For those of you wanting to use the www.isupportfundraising.com website for the fall fundraiser, you will need your child's school ID number.  The number can be found on the report card jacket from the last report card of the year.  We will also provide those numbers to the teachers today and are asking them to place in the children's planners.  Please check the planner before contacting the school!

Fundraising Technical Difficulty

Ok, it appears there is some technical difficulties this evening with the fundraising website.  I have confirmed that the school code is correct.  Please try again tomorrow.  We will post as soon as we hear that everything is working correctly.  Thanks for your patience!!

Amazing PTA Meeting

Thanks to all of you that attended our first PTA Meeting of the year last night.  We had an amazing turnout.  We hope that you found all the information presented to be helpful and will continue to attend meetings throughout the year.

Due to policy changes within the Broward School District, the PTA Board had to be revised.  The new board was voted in last night:
  • President:  Christine Coleman
  • 1st Vice President:  Marlene Treacy
  • 2nd Vice President:  Kristina Mure
  • 3rd Vice President:  Mirlaine Dorelas
  • Treasurer:  Penny George
  • Recording Secretary: Jaime Romano
  • Corresponding Secretary:  Tara Piatek
  • Teacher Liason:  MaryBeth Gebbia

We have several committees that need volunteers to assist with the planning and execution of these events.  The committees are as follows:
  • Omega Man - September 16th
  • Fall Photos - September 20-21 (Morning only)
  • Fall Bazaar - October 22nd
  • Fall Fundraiser - TBA October
If you are interested in joining one of the above, please send an e-mail to tamaracelementarypta@hotmail.com stating your interest.

PTA Membership Cards will be sent out very soon.  We are awaiting the delivery of  Discount Cards that are given to all PTA Members.

Today kicked off our fall fundraiser.  The students attended an assembly this morning and were given a fundraiser packet.  Please be on the lookout for the packet!!
