Just wanted to clarify the cost of entry into Funtastic Cafe as $9.99 per person-it only applies to the children. There is no cost to the parents for admission.

PTA Events Winding Down
Just a reminder of the events occurring in the next several weeks.
First, there will be a Dairy Queen Family Night on Wednesday, April 25th
from 5-8pm. Please come and join us for dinner and dessert and support
our school.
For those of you who ordered spring pictures, they will be distributed by the end of the week. We apologize for the delay, but we did receive picture orders after the deadline and opted to wait until our order was complete to accept delivery of the pictures.
On Sunday, April 29th we will be having a family event at Funtastic Cafe. PTA offers educational scholarships to fifth graders for use towards college. Money received from the event, plus any donations received, will go towards the creation of new scholarships and the funding of the current ones offered. Cost of entry into Funtastic Cafe is $9.99, to be paid on Sunday, upon entrance into Funtastic Cafe and includes access to bounce houses, obstacle courses, inflatable slides and a toddler area. Funtastic Cafe also has a disco room, arcade games and Zippy Pet rides at an additional charge. Parents will have access to TV's, computers and free WIFI. The PTA will be extending its yearbook sale until the 10th of May. Currently, we have 30 books left for purchase. The cost of the 2011-2012 hardcover book is $40. They will be available on a first come, first serve basis and must be purchased directly from the PTA. Please note that the online option will not be available after April 30th.
The last PTA meeting of the year will be on Wednesday, May 2nd at 6pm in the cafeteria. The Recorder Club will entertain us with their fabulous songs they have been diligently learning and practicing. Also, there are many positions open for the 2012-2013 PTA Board. Jaime Romano will be the 2012-2013 President and Jill Frederick is returning as Treasurer. We must have at least 3 parent, non-school board employee, board members for there to be a PTA, so please consider giving of your time and volunteering for a position. Nominations will be taken from the floor the night of the meeting. SAF will also hold its monthly meeting jointly with PTA.
Our last Family Show will be on Friday, May 4th, at 6pm in the cafeteria. We will be treated to a performance by Didgeridoo Down Under (http://www.didgrevolution.com/), a high-energy Australian-themed show that combines music, character building, anti-bullying, education, motivation and entertainment. The cost of entry will be $5 per person and includes admission to the show, 2 slices of pizza, a drink, and a bag of chips. We will also have some carnival games and cotton candy available before the show. The doors will open at 5pm as access to the carnival games and the cotton candy will be curtailed shortly before the show begins. Flyers were sent home on Tuesday. If you did not receive one, please email us at tamaracelementarypta@hotmail.com and we will get one to you. Please note, the deadline to purchase tickets is May 2nd. Tickets will also be sold at the door, but are on a first come, first serve basis.
